A MAN is being quizzed over the paramilitary murder of Magherafelt man Gary Convie almost 20 years.
The 42-year-old is also being questioned about the murder of Eamon Fox.
Mr Convie (24) and Mr Fox (44), both Catholics, were shot dead while sitting in a car at a building site in North Queen Street, Belfast, on May 17 1994. The gunman used a sub-machine gun.
Mr Convie, a native of Maghery in Co Armagh, had been living at Sandy Braes, Magherafelt, with his girlfriend at the time of the shooting.
The couple had a young child and intended to get married.
The arrested man, who is also being questioned about the attempted murder of a third man and membership of the UVF, was taken to the Serious Crime Suite at Antrim Police Station.
