Mid-Ulster pupils urged to stay safe online

INTERNET safety and sexual abuse are two topical issues which affect young people in Cookstown and Magherafelt.

Judith Boyle is the Education Worker with Nexus, a voluntary organisation which provides counselling to survivors of rape and sexual abuse. 

The project covers the Northern Trust/NEELB area which includes the Cookstown and Magherafelt District Council areas and Judith, who began her work with the project in December 2013, is keen to get as many schools involved as possible.

Three teenage students who were with the Mid-Ulster Mail on work placement last week shared their experience of using the Internet.
