POLICE are investigating the unexplained death of 21-year-old Connor Lagan from the Cookstown area.
Nicknamed ‘Keg’ by friends, the news of the Holy Trinity past-pupil’s death has hit the community hard, with pages of tributes already appearing on social media sites.
The first condolence message on tragic Connor’s Facebook page was posted on Tuesday morning at 1.43am.
It said: “Continue the party up there Connor Remember back in the Coolnafranky days the banter that was had, playing kerbsies with yeh one day and all :L lol little to be at anyway RIP you’ll be sadly missed around the town the popular and in some cases not soo popular lad that you were. Gone but most definitely not forgotten xx”.
Another mourner posted a poem written for Connor saying: “Your dumb jokes and your humour, Your laugh and silly smile... No one knew what you’d do next, You were one unique guy!”While his aunt said this: “Connor, dear nephew, our hearts are broken today, taken from this world far too soon, the distance seems even wider than before. We left you as a gorgeous young lad, so proud of the gentleman you have become.”
It is not yet known how Connor died. Police have said their investigations are at an early stage and are waiting on the results of a post mortem.
