Trio to stand trial on cannabis charges

THREE Magherafelt men have been sent for trial on charges relating to the alleged supply of cannabis.

Peter McSwiggan (29), of Grange Road, is accused of being concerned in the supply of the drug with 17 other similar charges.

Jason Quinn (28), Mullaghboy Crescent, faces a charge of conspiring with intent to supply and seven similar charges, while Raymond Stephen Bigger (28), Termoneeney Park, Knockloughrim, is also accused of conspiring with intent to supply along with three related charges.

The alleged offences occurred between September 2012 and January last year.

The men were each returned for trail on bail of £500 to Londonderry Crown Court on March 13 when they appeared at Magherafelt Magistrates Court.
