Upperlands break-in was ‘attack on whole community’

Carntogher DUP councillor James Shiels has condemned those who stole a large sum of cash from the Old Mill Coffee Shop in Upperlands.

He said “The Coffee Shop is a community driven project, and since it opened just last year it has become a favoured place for local people to meet and socialise. It really is at the heart of our community and is widely used by many people both young and old.

“I have spoken to staff and like me they are horrified that anyone would do this. This robbery is an attack on the whole community in Upperlands and I would urge anyone with information to contact the PSNI.
