£4K worth of cigarettes stolen

POLICE are appealing for information after £4,000 worth of cigarettes were stolen from a service station in Toomebridge.

The Main Street premises were entered by thieves who smashed a rear window during the early hours of Friday 16th November.

In addition to stealing the cigarettes the culprits also ransacked the store and caused around £400 of damage by attempting to drill through an interior wall.

Officers investigating this incident are appealing for anyone with information or anyone who was in the area and who noticed any suspicious people or vehicles to get in touch. The number to call is 0845 600 8000.
