Biker injured in hit-and-run

A MOTORCYCLIST sustained injuries to his arm and body in a hit-and-run at Magherafelt, according to police.

Police say the biker was hit by the driver of a grey coloured renault Scenic car on the Aughrim Road shortly after 2pm on Thursday, August 2.

The bike rider was knocked off his bike whilst the car drove on.

The 25 year-old was treated in hospital for injuries and he was badly shaken by the incident.

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone who has information is asked to conatct Police at Magherafelt on 0845 600 8000 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
