Car damaged in suspicious fire

POLICE who saw a car being driven erratically at William Street in Cookstown in the early hours of Sunday arrested a man on suspicion of driving while unfit through drugs.

He was bailed pending the analysis of a blood sample.

Meanwhile, Police in Cookstown are appealing for information about a fire that badly damaged a car.

The fire and rescue service turned out to a report of a Ford Focus on fire at Loran Vale at about 4.30am on Sunday.

The cause is being treated as suspicious.
