Car found burnt out

A CAR used in a burglary was later found burnt out by police following an incident in Moneymore.

On Friday, June 26 at around 7:25am police in Cookstown received a report from a filling station on the Magherafelt Road.

The garage behind the store had been broken into and two cars taken from the garage - a black Audi with the number plate HEZ 7229 and a silver Peugeot 307, registration ENZ 8142.

CCTV from the shop revealed two figures getting into the cars and driving off. The Peugeot, later used in a burglary in Magherafelt, was found burnt out at a quarry in Knockloughrim.

The black Audi A4 is still missing and police are appealing to anyone with information to contact the station in Cookstown on 028 8676 6000 or call Crimestoppers in complete confidence on 0800 555 111.
