Catriona has the ‘Ticket’ for marketing success

A STEWARTSTOWN business woman has been shortlisted for a prestigious Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) award.

TWenty-six-year-old Catriona McNally, TreatTicket.com’s Regional Marketing Manager, has been shortlisted for New Marketer of the Year in the 2012 Marketing Excellence Awards Ireland.

The 26-year-old joined Managing Director, Mary McCall, to create and launch TreatTicket.com in March 2011.

THe company is also up for Best Sales Campaign and Best Retail entry.

Catriona said she was thrilled to be shortlisted for the New Marketer award and to gain this recognition from the CIM after five years of working within the industry.

She explained that her role in TreatTicket is all about developing and implementing the brand, using a range of marketing activities to grow the subscriber base.

“Group buying websites are a relatively new industry with changing trends and attitudes so my role also involves studying opinions, customer requirements, purchasing behaviours and competitor activity closely to understand what our target market ‘wants’ and what we and others are delivering in response to customer demand,” she said.

The Belfast company, which offers discounted daily treats to over 150,000 subscribers across the UK, has also been shortlisted for Best New Product, Best Sales Campaign, and Best Retail Entry.

The company has only been in operation for 18 months but has already secured almost £1 million private investment.

TreatTicket’s Managing Director, Mary McCall, said they are delighted to have been shortlisted for four awards, as the CIM sets the standard for marketing and marketing professionals around the world.

“We are a relatively new company but have made a big impact on the UK market, so it’s a great testament to the hard work of my dedicated team to have been recognised in four marketing excellence categories.

“Catriona has been an invaluable asset to the company and I am delighted her success has been recognised,” she said.

“It’s also very exciting to be as these show that we are up there with the well established businesses in Ireland. It’s proof that we are putting the customer first and are evolving to identify and respond to a change in the dynamic of consumer behaviour.

The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in the Titanic Building, Belfast on November 7.

TreatTicket ‘treats’ are currently offered in seven locations (Belfast, Newry, Derry, Glasgow, Liverpool, Manchester and Birmingham), with national deals offered to a total of 31 cities throughout the UK.

In just one year TreatTicket has doubled its valuation and has saved over £1m for its subscribers since its launch.
