Chamber to strive for town’s economic growth

MAGHERAFELT Chamber of Commerce has returned from it’s summer break with a renewed commitment to protect the town centre and to strive for its economic growth.

There are several projects currently underway which are being driven forward by the various sub-committees the Chamber has formed in order to focus on particular issues relevant to businesses in the town.

These include opposition to proposed car parking charges; the Pubilc Realm Scheme; working in close partnership with the Council to deliver a schedule of worthwhile events and initiatives, and many more.

“We are currently seeking new members and would like to take this opportunity to encourage all business owners in Magherafelt to join the Chamber of Commerce as membership to the Chamber brings many benefits and opportunities to local businesses,” said a spokesperson.

Finally, the Chamber of Commerce would like to congratulate our esteemed committee member, Patsy Forbes, who recently took part in the Olympic Torch Relay when it passed through Caledon.

Patsy was nominated for this prestigious role due to his commitment and contribution to sports in the area, whether it is participating himself in sprinting, coaching and managing teams or fundraising for local sports.
