Cookstown doodlers urged to submit some scribbles!

IMAGINITIVE Cookstown individuals in are being reminded to get doodling for one of the UK’s most popular personal planners – with the winning efforts featuring in thousands of its 2014 and 2015 diaries.

Dodo Pad is encouraging people to submit their illustrations ahead of a March 28 deadline, as part of the brand’s association with National Doodle Day.

Dodo Pad’s managing director Rebecca Jay said the weirdest and most wonderful doodles would be welcomed, as long as they were accompanied with a £2 donation for Epilepsy Action in the process.

She said: “Despite National Doodle Day taking place in February, there is still time to make a mark with us, as our competition is still live.

“As official partners to National Doodle Day, we are big supporters of the work they do and we want to commemorate a particularly special doodle in our next editions. There will be winners in the both Under 16 and 17 and Over categories.

“Moreover, the campaign raises thousands of pounds for Epilepsy Action, which carries out so much invaluable work for tens of thousands of people. The more entries we receive, the more money goes to a fantastic cause. “

Philippa Cartwright, Fundraising Events Manager for Epilepsy Action’s National Doodle Day said: “Being featured in a future edition of the Dodo Pad diary is an offer we think is too good to refuse.

“National Doodle Day was established back in 2004 to create a unique, fun and fantastically simple fundraising event that everyone could be a part of.”

For full details of how to enter, doodlers can visit www.dodopad.com for more information, where an application form can be downloaded.
