DVD dance craze comes to town

A STEWARTSTOWN man has brought a new DVD dance craze to Northern Ireland where you can be the star of your very own show.

Dancing Headers run by Will Megaw and his family gives aspiring performers the opportunity to see themselves superimposed in a DVD featuring professional dancing bodies.

Using high-tech state-of-the-art video equipment, Dancing Headers superimposes your head right onto a dancer’s body, resulting in he creation of a fun music DVD within minutes.

Will told the MAIL he was inspired by the craze which has swept America and has now introduced Dancing Headers to a Mid-Ulster audience.

“It’s really fun and it’s new to Northern Ireland,” he said. “People can come along and we film the person’s head and within minutes they have a DVD of them performing.

“We’ve found people are really taking an interest in this.”

There are around 150 clips of dancers to choose from and participants can also select which song they want to ‘sing along’ to.

With a range of eclectic styles catering for all tastes, songs range from Lady Madonna, to I Feel Good to Sweet Home Alabama.

And with a DVD created within minutes while you wait, Will is promising to bring the fun factor to Cookstown and Magherafelt.

Dancing Headers will be in Meadowlane Shopping Centre, Magherafelt, this week, Monday to Sunday, including late nights.
