From far-far-away to Spar Moneymore!

THE local SPAR on Magherafelt Road in Moneymore, recently had a very special visitor last Friday! Coming from 'Far-far away' to Moneymore, Shrek himself arrived to meet and greet the young (and the old!) in the area, for a bit of fun, all as part of the promotion of the new Shrek movie and the Shrek Soft Toy promotion, running in the store now!

Delighting the locals, the Ogre himself spent time posing for photos with his fans, taking care to be gentle as the children in Moneymore are a lot smaller than the Ogre children he is used to in ‘far-far-away!’

The children really enjoyed icing their own gingerbread men as part of the entertainment and loads of tasty treats were provided by the store for everyone to have!

Stephen Mallon, store manager, commented: “The visit from Shrek was very exciting as it’s not often that someone so famous pops up in Moneymore!

“It was a great event in store and the locals and their children really enjoyed it! There were a lot of excited faces around and everyone was getting really excited about our instore Shrek Soft Toy promotion!

“With the launch of the Shrek Movie, ‘Shrek Forever after,’ we are delighted to be able to offer customers this special saving on the fantastic range of soft toys of the four most popular characters from the family friendly movie!”
