Interested in reading? Volunteers needed to help with the Talking News

RNIB in conjunction with Volunteer Now are looking for volunteers to help verablly record the local newspapers for people in the Mid Ulster region that experience difficulty with reading or have a visual impairment.

If you think you may like to get involved then come along to our Information Session on 20th March at the Rural Community Network from 10am-11am.

We will be discussing the volunteer roles with in the Talking News and you can find out more about how you can get involved.

Eliza Threlfall, Unlocking Potential Development Officer, Volunteer Now said:

“Volunteering is a great way to meet new people and learn more about your local community. It’s also a great way to get out and about.”

Eliza is based in Cookstown and coordinates regular volunteering events in the local area for older people.
