Leisure income drops

OVERALL leisure services in the Magherafelt District Council area recorded a decrease in income when compared to August last year, the council’s monthly meeting was told.

The decrease in income can be attributed to decreases in income experienced at both Maghera Leisure Centre and Tobermore Golf Centre, while Meadowbank Sports Arena performed on a par with the previous August.

“The experience for our centres was very similar for throughout,” said Andrew Cassells, director of operations. “Again Maghera and Tobermore experienced decreases, while Meadowbank performed on a par.”
