HOME owners should follow basic crime prevention advice to reduce homes and property being targeted by criminals, police have advised.

Lock garages and sheds and do not leave garden or sports equipment lying around. Lock it up!

Police are also urging people to report suspicious activity to Police as this could help prevent a crime from taking place.
