A YOUNG Magherafelt man appeared at the local Magistrates Court on a criminal damage charge.

Gar Corr (21), of Tobermore Road in the town, is accued of damaging an internal door and a cabinet drawer belonging to Elaine Langmead on December 17 this year.

Defence solicitor Stephen Atherton described it as “a domestic incident”, and said the injured party was the defendant’s mother.

He explained that Corr was searching for an alternative address at which to reside.
