Man is charged with drug offences

A COOKSTOWN man was released on his own bail of £400 after appearing at Dungannon Magistrates Court charged with possessing ammunition and prohibited weapon.

Marc Currie from Coolnafranky Park was accused of possessing ammunition in suspicious circumstances, possession of a class B drug with intent to supply namely, Flephedrone and Mephedrone, possessing a prohibited weapon namely a taser which was designed or adapted to discharge electricity and producing a class B drug on June 27 last year.

This was the 21-year-old’s first appearance at Dungannon Magistrates Court on these charges and Magistrate John Meehan set the defendant’s bail at £400.
