NORTHERN Ireland’s leading energy provider, Power NI, has launched a new scheme that offers free electricity to nearly a quarter of a million Keypad customers across Northern Ireland.

The new Keypad reward scheme gives increasing amounts of free electricity to Keypad customers who top up online or with the company’s free app.

Power NI employee Lorraine Downey from Cookstown said: “We have nearly a quarter of a million Keypad customers and we have been working hard to find new ways to help save our customers money.

“The new reward scheme gives customers the opportunity to receive free electricity. Keypad reward also means that Power NI Keypad customers are now getting the cheapest ongoing Keypad prices in Northern Ireland, giving Power NI the edge in this competitive market.

“With Keypad reward, we are set to gift 67,000 days of free electricity for all Power NI Keypad customers throughout the year, which is a huge benefit. Customers who top up £50 or more via the company’s website or the free Keypad app will reap the rewards.”

In the past year Power NI has also experienced a steady increase in the use of mobile devices by customers to purchase electricity. A trend common to many sectors with 92% of people in Northern Ireland owning a mobile phone, 34% owning a smartphone and more than half of the population going online for everyday tasks.

Lorraine Downey added: “It’s no surprise that Power NI customers favour the convenience of the latest technology when it comes to topping up. We will continue to give all our Keypad customers discount and as it costs us less when a customer top ups online or via our app in larger amounts, we’re pleased to pass these savings on to customers.”

Power NI offers Keypad customers more ways to top up than any other electricity supplier in Northern Ireland and gives all customers a 2.5% discount off the company’s standard rate year in, year out.

Savings are available to all Power NI customers, not just Keypad, with the company offering savings of up to £60 a year depending on payment scheme.
