Molloy repeats election promises as papers are lodged

THE protection of the Lough Neagh eels and the promotion of the agricultural engineering base in Coalisland, are among the issues which Mid Ulster by-election candidate, Francie Molloy, pledged to focus on when he handed in his nomination papers.

The Sinn Féin MLA, who hopes to win the MP seat vacated by Deputy First Minister, Martin McGuinness, said: “This election is about social and economic issues, about reconciliation and about the future of Mid-Ulster. That is my focus and that of Sinn Féin.

“There are many social and economic issues that need to be dealt with from the protection of the Lough Neagh Eels to ensuring the agricultural engineering base in Coalisland is promoted.

“Under the guidance of Sinn Féin we have seen investment in the school estate and promotion of the Irish medium sector and bringing equality to education so that every child can fulfil its potential.

“We have fought hard to protect the health services in the constituency and have brought a focus to tackle suicide and will continue to do so.

“Sinn Féin has been at the front of ensuring agriculture and rural development, which constitutes a large part of this constituency, is promoted and that access to services are made easier.

“I want to carry on the work done by Martin McGuinness and my other colleagues in Sinn Féin in promoting Mid Ulster as a great place to live and work and raise a family and that is now my focus, to get reelected and work hard for every constituent of Mid Ulster.”
