Penalty fines issued for disorderly behaviour in Cookstown

POLICE issued Penalty Notices for Disorder on six men for disorderly and indecent behaviour incidents in the centre of Cookstown in the early hours of Sunday.

The PNDs carry a penalty of either £45 or £85, depending on the offence, and were issued following several incidents in the James Street and Loy Street areas between 1am and 3.30am.

Police are using the PNDs as a speedy and alternative option for dealing with anti-social and nuisance offending. Offenders have 28 days in which to pay the penalty.
