Police appeal after arrests
DETECTIVES from PSNI’s Serious Crime Branch are continuing to appeal for information following an incident in the Moorlands and Clonabay areas of Coalisland on Tuesday 8th January.
At around 8pm three men forced their way into a house in the Moor Road area and made threats to a 35 year old man who is a witness in a court case. They ran off when challenged by the man.
Four men have been arrested and charged as part of the investigation. Police are, however, continuing to appeal to anyone with any information about the movements of a silver Volvo taxi with an Eagle sign on its roof between 6pm in Belfast on Tuesday 8th January and midnight in Coalisland, particularly in the Moor Road and Washingbay Road areas to contact them on 028 9180 1507.
Alternatively, anyone who does not want to give their details can provide information anonymously to the independent Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
Appeal posters have been distributed to homes in the Coalisland area by police and a copy of the poster is attached for use.
Police would like to thank the local community in Coalisland for their assistance on Tuesday night and for their continuing co-operation.
