Police forced to use CS spray in weekend disruption

POLICE made three arrests for alleged public order incidents in Cookstown at the weekend, during one of which CS spray was used to make an arrest.

The first incident aros ein the early hours of Saturday morning when a 17-year-old youth was arrested for disorderly behaviour at Fortview Terrace. He was arrested shortly before 6am and was charged to appear at Dungannon Youth Court on September 18.

Meanwhile, a 20-year-old man was charged with disorderly behaviour and resisting arrest at Dunvale Avenue at about 2am on Monday, 3rd. Police officers used CS spray in the incident to make an arrest.

The arrested man was charged to Dungannon Magistrates’ Court on September 21.

A 20-year-old woman is also to be reported to the PPS after being arrested for disorderly behaviour in the same incident.
