Police warn of counterfeit money in Dungannon

POLICE in Dungannon are appealing for traders and members of the public to be wary of counterfeit notes after they received a report of a fake £50 note.

Police would advise shops and other businesses that handle currency to check all notes and contact police if they suspect they have come into possession of any counterfeit currency.

Police would ask anyone who may have any information to contact them at Dungannon on 0845 600 8000. Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.
