Second arrest following drugs seizure

POLICE have made a second arrest in connection with last week’s £380,000 drugs haul at Magherafelt.

A PSNI spokesperson said they were questioning a man arrested in County Fermanagh today in relation to the seizure of cannabis at a house in Leckagh Drive on September 11.

Meanwhile, a Chinese national was remanded in custody at Londonderry Magistrates Court on nine charges arising out of the discovery.

Zheng Chang (34), with an address at Donegall Road, Belfast, will appear by video link at Magherafelt Magistrates Court on October 10.
