Show some puppy love this Valentine's Day
ROMANTICS in Mid-Ulster are to be offered an extra way to share their love this Valentine's thanks to Guide Dogs.
The message from the charity is that whether you’re loved up, looking for love or just a hopeless romantic, Cupid’s arrow not only brings the chance of romance, it can also help transform the lives of blind and partially-sighted people through ‘puppy love’.
Part of the charity’s ‘Get Together’ themed fundraising events, ‘Get Dating for Guide Dogs’ encourages people to combine charity-giving and romance through organised Valentine’s events, raising money to train guide dog puppies.
Beth Marsh, Head of Fundraising Development for Guide Dogs said there are loads of easy, fun and romantic ways to make a difference for Guide Dogs.
“We’ve put together a great information pack, full of ideas and top tips on organising events. There are downloadable templates for posters and invitations to help make any Valentine’s Ball go with a swing, raising as much money as possible,” she said.
“The guide dog service receives no government funding and relies on the generosity of the public to fund its services, so what are you waiting for? Get dating and show your puppy love!”
