Sponsored cycle in memory of Ronan Kerr

ALMOST £8,000 has been presented to charities as a result of a sponsored cycle in memory of Constable Ronan Kerr.

Constable Kerr was murdered by terrorists in Omagh in April 2011.

In May 2012, more than 100 police officers, police supports staff and friends of Ronan took part in a sponsored 52-mile cycle around Lough Erne.

The money raised, £7,826, was divided among three charities nominated by his family, Chest Heart & Stroke, Care for Cancer, and Cystic Fibrosis.

The organisers have thanked all who supported the event and all who took part or helped out on the day.
