Three road collisions within hours

TWO people were taken to hospital following separate road traffic collisions in the Cookstown area yesterday, Wednesday.

Meanwhile, three cars were involved in a collision shortly after 3.15pm on the Carland Road in Dungannon.

The road was closed for a short time, however, there were no reports of serious injuries.

In Cookstown, police received a report that a man had been struck by a car at James Street in the town shortly after 9.30pm.

The man was taken to Craigavon Area Hospital, but his injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.

A female motorist, meanwhile, was taken to hospital after her car struck a kerb and rolled over several times at Lough Fea Road shortly after 10.30pm on Wednesday.

She was taken to hospital, but her injuries were not serious.
