Traffic improvement thanks from Cllr Cassidy

COOKSTOWN SDLP Councillor Peter Cassidy has said he wants to thank Roads Service and the council in relation to a series of traffic concerns at the Burn Brae Crescent and Burn Road junction.

Roads Service have confirmed that a warning sign will be erected on the Burn Road and that existing road markings at the junction will be refreshed to highlight it.

The agreement came following a recent meeting at the junction to discuss a series of traffic concerns.

He said: “The council has also agreed to upgrade their front entrance from a give way to a stop junction and consideration has also been given to the installation of traffic calming measures in the vicinity of the council’s front entrance.”

And he added: “I would like to thank Robin Cuddy of the Roads Service and the council for their understanding and concern of the residents.”
