Two men injured in pub assault

POLICE are appealing for information after two men were assaulted in a licensed premises at Magherafelt.

The men, both aged 22, received lacerations to their faces.

The incident is reported to have happened around 1.10am on Thursday (December 27) in premises at Queen’s Street in the town.

A 21-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and subsequently released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Police would ask anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any information to contact them at Magherafelt on 0845 600 8000.
