Ulster covenant ‘reflections’

ST Colm’s High School, Draperstown will be the venue for a special event organised by the recently established County Derry Centenaries Group to discuss the Ulster Covenant.

The public event - ‘Reflections on 1912: Solemn League and Covenant’ will be addressed by academic and leading Methodist, Rev Dr Johnston McMaster as well as Belfast City councillor and historian, Tom Hartley (Sinn Féin).

The event which takes place on Wednesday, September 26, will be chaired by Maureen Hetherington from community relations organisation, The Junction.

Doors open at 7pm and the public meeting will commence at 7.30pm sharp. A special invitation is extended to all local community groups, historical societies and sixth form students studying history or politics. Everyone welcome.
