Road Service recently made work at Parkview, Pomeroy a priority after lobbying by a local residents group and Sinn Fein councillor Cathal Mallaghan.

COUNCILLOR for the Pomeroy area Cathal Mallaghan has welcomed Road Service’s commitment to working on footpaths and streets in the Parkview area.

The Sinn Fein representative helped lobby for the works to be completed along with the Parkview Residents group.

Councillor Mallaghan said: “It is with great pleasure that I take this opportunity to thank Road Service for their commitment and work to find the necessary monies in their budget for the recent work.

“When the Parkview Residents group was established they identified that work to the footpaths and streets were one of their priorities. Along with the group we lobbied Road Service for this work to be done and they have done an excellent job.”
