A FUNDRAISING volunteer information session organised by Cats Protection is being held in Cookstown Library on Tuesday, October 8.
The local branch was recently established at the end of 2012 and consists of a small group of volunteers who want to promote the work of Cats Protection in the area.
Over the next year the branch will be carrying out a variety of awareness and fundraising activities, with the hope of raising enough money to set up a cat welfare branch in the Cookstown and District area.
Cats Protection Cookstown and District Branch would like to thank everyone who gave so generously towards their work at the recent Flag Day collection held in Cookstown on June 15.
A total of £118.87 was raised by the collection and this money will help the branch move one step closer towards their vision.
Future up and coming street collections are planned in Magherafelt on Saturday, October 26 and Saturday, November 16, while
