Maghera Cancer Research Committee raises over £100,000 with big breakfasts

Maghera Cancer Research Committee is celebrating its 60th year this year and theyhave celebrated it in the best way possible by having hosted yet another very successful ‘Big Breakfast’.

This was the Committee’s 14th ‘Big Breakfast’ and it was held in Walsh’s Hotel, Maghera on Friday 4th March 2016.

So far the breakfasts organised by the Maghera Committee have raised over £100,000 in aid of Cancer Research with this year’s having raised £12,700 so far.

The Committee would like to thank most sincerely all those who contributed to the success of Maghera’s Big Breakfast.

“We would like to thank partic”ularly the management and staff of Walsh’s Hotel who gave so unstintingly of their time and effort,” said a spokesperson for the committee.

“ In particular the kitchen staff who cooked from 7am til 2pm and those who helped to serve. Without their cooperation we would not be able to run this event on such a scale.

“Also, a big thank you to all the extra volunteers who came to help us carry out the event.
