SINN Féin MLA, Ian Milne has announced details of a major seminar for local
businesses and community organisations to help them maximize EU funding
opportunities for the period 2014 -2020.
The event will take place in Walsh’s Hotel this Friday and will be addressed by the party’s MEP, Martina Anderson.
The Mid-Ulster MLA said: “A key objective of this seminar is to inform people of the different funding streams that are available for community projects and business development.
There is a perception held by many that European funding begins and ends with PEACE but this is not the case.
“Sinn Fein MEP, Martina Anderson will address the seminar on the various
avenues that groups and businesses can go down to find new areas of funding. Every year millions of pounds that could be available for local communities are not being claimed due to a lack of knowledge of what is available and how to access them. This seminar is an attempt to access this funding for the benefit of our entire community.
“We see this as an invaluable opportunity for Small, Medium Enterprise’s and our local community and voluntary organisations to be informed of possible future strands of funding and we extend an open invitation.
The event will begin at 10.30am and will run until 12.30pm. Registration is
