A Magherafelt woman has pleaded guilty to stealing groceries worth £39.48 and sausages to the value of £1 from Eurospar in Draperstown.

Julia Glover, 40, from Tamney Crescent was said to have committed the offences on November 14 last year.

In her defence, counsel told the court Glover found herself in financial difficulties when her previous landlord sold the property in which she lived.

She is due back in court on June 3 and must fulfill an appointment with probation.
