A LOCAL make-up artist is still seeing stars after working with one of the biggest singers in the world this week.

Ursula Scullion from Bellaghy got the once-in-a-lifetime phone call from production bosses asking her to work her magic on set of Rihanna’s latest music video. The 27 year-old pruned and preened the cast on location at the shoot of the Barbadian pop star’s latest single, ‘We Found Love’, in Bangor on Monday.

“It was an absolutely amazing experience,” Ursula told the MAIL, “I literally only found out six hours before I was on set that it was Rihanna’s latest video. I just couldn’t believe it, it was out-of-this world.”

Ursula, who trained at the Oonagh Boman School of Make-up, was recommended to the production company filming the hit single for the singer, whose sold over 60 million albums worldwide.

“I got the call on Saturday after someone from the production company saw my portfolio and liked it. I was just told it was a music video, I had no idea it was going to be Rihanna until I got the location details on Sunday. I was busting to tell people but it was all confidential. I’m still getting over it.”

Ursula continued: “I got the chance to meet her and she is a lovely, lovely girl. So stunning. She had her own team of make-up artists there and we got to share a trailer with the rest of hair and make-up. It’s an experience I won’t forget!”
