A man sustained serious facial injuries after being set upon by a group of males at a Twelfth of July bonfire in Magherafelt.
Details of the incident, which took place in the Leckagh Drive area of the town, have just been made public by the PSNI, who have appealed for information from the public.
Inspector Andrew Archibald said, “One man was assaulted while attending a bonfire in the area shortly after midnight on July 12th. It is understood one man was assaulted by another before a group of males set upon him also.
The injured person was treated in hospital for serious facial injuries. Four persons have now been arrested and all are on bail pending further enquiries.”
