Man wants barriers at Draperstown accident ‘blackspot’

A MAN whose shed was badly damaged by a pick-up truck is calling on the DoE to erect barriers at the accident black spot outside Draperstown.

Gerry Donnelly of Cavanreagh Road told the MAIL that it’s a case of history repeating itself - his shed was so badly damaged six years ago, in another car-related incident, that it had to be rased and re-built to the tune of around £20,000.

Mr Donnelly added that the shed, which lies at “a notorious bend” in the road, has fallen prey to many motorists over the past 20 years.
