MID-ULSTER DUP Assembly MLA, Ian McCrea, has welcomed the efforts by party colleague and DETI Minister, Arlene Foster MLA to fulfill her department’s objectives to ensure the continuing provision of access to broadband services for all the people of Northern Ireland.

Speaking today Ian McCrea said: “I welcome the further consultation on the provision of both basic and superfast broad band services across Northern Ireland and this follows the initial consultation which was undertaken in September 2012 to identify those areas most in need of intervention.

“It is possible to view the postcodes currently identified to be targeted online at the web addresses below:

“The DUP want to deliver meaningful action on everyday issues that affect people in their everyday lives and this I believe is one such action.

“I would encourage everyone to take the time to view the consultation and I would stress the importance of responding to the same if you feel that your area does not have sufficient broadband provision.

“You can view or download the consultation on the DETI website at http://www.detini.gov.uk/deti-telecoms-index/deti-telecoms-whats-new.htm or alternatively contact DETI Telecoms Branch, Netherleigh, Belfast, BT4 2JP or call 028 905 29533.”
