Two men have been in court on charges connected with a £40,000 drugs seizure at Magherafelt last month.

Kai-Cheun Tsoi (39), of Cedar Park, Magherafelt, is accused of possessing cannabis, and having the drug with intent to supply.

He is also charged with concealing criminal property and having an offensive weapon, a folding knife, in his possession.

Peter Kelly (43), of Ballynagilly Lane, Cookstown, is accused of possessing cannabis, and having the drug with intent to supply.

The alleged offences arise out of an incident at Castledawson Road, Magherafelt, on February 27.

Both men were released on personal bail of £300 to appear at Magherafelt Magistrates Court on May 20.

District Judge Alan White made it a condition of bail that they do not contact their co-accused.
