Mr Molloy said: “I am absolutely delighted for Eamonn to be honoured in such a fantastic way, to host and produce a show of such quality at such a relatively young age and for it to be internationally recognised by these prestigious awards demonstrates to the world the brilliant musical talent that the community around Cookstown knew Eamonn possessed from a very young age.

John McNamee, Cookstown based Sinn Fein Councillor for Mid-Ulster said “This is fantastic news to hear, and I wish to pass on my heartfelt congratulations not only to Eamonn but also to his parents Jim and Ann who must be so proud to see the talent they fostered and encouraged from a very young age getting the international recognition we all knew he fully deserved.”

“I will pass on these congratulations at the next meeting of Mid-Ulster Council, so as his awards will be formally acknowledged and welcomed by all the members of the Council and it would be great if recognition can be marked for Eamonn the next time he is in Cookstown.”
