A CHRISTMAS spectacular has been planned for Moneymore ahead of the village’s festive switch-on.
Stilt walkers, jugglers, balloon modellers, archery, paint ball target shooting, segways, and much much more will take over the village on Saturday, December 8th.
There will also be a craft fair in Manor House and children from the local schools will be filling the village with yule tide cheer with a delightful performance of Christmas carols and our favourite Christmas songs.
Q106 radio station will also be there to keep us entertained.
The main man himself will also be there arriving on a magical horse drawn sleigh, spreading glad tidings throughout the village.
The evening will culminate in the switching on the Christmas Lights.
Festivities will run from 6pm to 8pm with the village centre closed to all traffic from 5:30pm to 8:30pm.
Roads will be closed at the bottom of Stonard Street, the top of Cunningham Street and from the mini roundabout.
Traffic diversions will be in place.
This is the first in a series of events planned for the village over the next year funded by Cookstown District Council through the EU’s Programme for Peace and Reconciliation (PEACE III) which is managed by the Special EU Programmes Body. If you would like more information about the South West Cluster PEACE III Programme please contact Martina Totten, PEACE III & Community Facilitator on 028 8676 4714 or email email@example.com.
