Draperstown man pleads guilty to assault charge

Peter Gerard O’Kane (34), of Drumderg Road, is accused of assaulting Cathal Conville, causing him grievous bodily harm, on January 31 last year.

The case was adjourned for a pre-sentence report at Magherafelt Magistrates Court until May 15.

District Judge Alan White told O’Kane it was a serious charge and it was in his interests to cooperate with the Probation authorities.
