Farm shed catches fire in Garvagh

Firefighters from three different stations were needed to put out a fire at an agricultural shed in Garvagh.

It is understood the incident, in the Bone Road area, was reported to the Fire Service just after 3pm on Friday afternoon.

It is unclear whether any animals were injured as a result of the fire.

A statement from the Fire Service stated: “NIFRS resources from Kilrea, Coleraine and Ballymoney stations attended to deal with a fire involving an agricultural shed on the Brone Road near Garvagh.

“Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two main jets to deal with the incident in the building which measured 10×5 metres. A water relay also was set in place during the operation.”
