Heartbreak after man missing from Cookstown found dead

The mother of a man missing from Cookstown since yesterday morning, has confirmed that her son has been found dead.

Police said last night they were becoming increasingly concerned for the safety of Kyle O’Brien and a police helicopter was mobilised in the search for him.

Rhonda Millar, said on Facebook: “Just like to thank everyone for sharing my status about my missing son Kyle O’Brien. Unfortunately he was found dead this morning x.”

Police have yet to confirm Kyle’s death, but many tributes have been paid to the Cookstown resident online.

“I acc can’t believe this pal, you meant so much to so many people you were my best mate and you always will be you had so much ahead of you pal you were the most kindest caring man I know rest easy pall “dont be making bombs” up there pal, love you mate <3 rest easy Kyle Obrien,” said one.

Another added: “Kyle Obrien rest easy bro, I can’t believe this is true I don’t want it to be true, now spread them wings and fly high, don’t forget to party up there, such a gentleman taken so young, LOVE YOU LOADS BRO, you’ll be the brightest star in the sky, Rest easy now. Till we meet again.”
