Heavy snow has brought major traffic disruption on the Glenshane Pass on Friday evening.
Dozens of images of the atrocious conditions have been posted on social media, after the latest winter storm hit the Province.
BBC NI Travel tweeted: “Glenshane Pass is blocked northbound but open towards Belfast; severe tailbacks in both directions; avoid at all costs!”
It is expected that many sporting fixtures across Mid Ulster this weekend could be affected by the recent heavy rain and snow over the last week.
Elsewhere, the Ulster and Scarlets rugby match at Ravenhill was postponed after the referee deemed the pitch unplayable.
