Thousands of voters from across Magherafelt, Cookstown and Dungannon, will go to the polls to elect representatives for the new Mid Ulster super council on Thursday.
On Friday morning, the counting of votes will begin in Magherafelt’s Meadowbank arena, and the Mid Ulster Mail will be on hand to deliver all the results as they happen on our website.
Our team of reporters will also have video interviews from the winners and losers in the landmark election, which will see 63 candidates compete for 40 seats. You can also follow all the action on our Twitter and Facebook pages, for the dawning of a new era in local administration for this new enlarged region.
The first results are expected on Friday afternoon, though the count could continue through until Saturday.
