Sometime on Friday, 13 May a shed was broken into at commercial premises in the Glenone Park area Clady and a strimmer and leaf blower stolen.

On Sunday, 21 May police received a report that sometime within the past 7 days a Felt make racing bike and a Stihl leaf blower were stolen from a shed at a house in the Woodland Grove area of Draperstown.

Sometime between Thursday, 19 May and 7.00pm on Friday, 20 May an orange and white Stihl leaf blower was also stolen from a shed in the Woodland Heights area of Draperstown.

Constable Quinn said: “I would ask anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in these areas in the past few weeks to contact Magherafelt Police Station on the non-emergency number 101. Or if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.

“I would also remind the public to make sure outbuildings are secure as thieves can strike at any time and you may end up having to spend large amounts of money to replace your equipment or tools. Protect vulnerable areas such as windows, fences, boundary walls and drainpipes. Well positioned external lighting keeps intruders away.”
